📢 We are closing the ID:CITIZEN campaign with a call for greater awareness and systemic support for the needs that still remain unresolved for people with disabilities.
♿️ Experiences from 🇲🇰🇭🇺🇵🇱🇸🇰 show that laws and standards are not enough if they do not create functional and consistent accessibility in practice.
✅️ Through the experiences gained and visits to partner countries, key recommendations were highlighted: assessment is needed even in the planning phase, user involvement, unified standards, stronger monitoring, adaptation of existing facilities, stable financing, and clear institutional accountability.
📘 As a final result of the ID:CITIZEN project, “Policy Recommendations for Improved Inclusion” were created, which bring together knowledge, examples, challenges and recommendations from partner countries and offer guidance for more inclusive policies, public spaces, cultural institutions and services.
❤️ With this, we conclude the campaign, but we continue to promote accessibility as a prerequisite for equal participation, independence and dignity.
