In 2021, the nationwide coalition \u201cPrzewijamy Polsk\u0119\u201d (\u201cChanging Poland\u201d) was established, with the goal of introducing fully equipped rooms with specialist equipment that enable dignified care for people with disabilities\u2014often referred to as Changing Places facilities (dedicated spaces for changing and personal hygiene). <\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f4cd.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udccd\"> As a result of this initiative, such facilities are being introduced at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Wawel Castle in Krak\u00f3w, the ZAMEK Cultural Centre in Pozna\u0144, as well as the main railway station in Lublin, among many other locations. These examples show that inclusive solutions can be successfully implemented both in modern infrastructure and in historically significant buildings, even where architectural constraints exist. <\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/2705.svg\" alt=\"\u2705\"> Following the UK model, Poland\u2019s experience demonstrates that cooperation between civil society and public institutions can lead to systemic improvements and significantly enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/2728.svg\" alt=\"\u2728\"> The international ID:CITIZEN campaign aims to promote positive examples of improving accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities in culture, education, and public spaces in <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f1f2-1f1f0.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddf0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f1ed-1f1fa.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\udded\ud83c\uddfa\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f1f5-1f1f1.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f1f8-1f1f0.svg\" alt=\"\ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddf0\">.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inspired by the United Kingdom\u2019s success, Poland has taken meaningful steps to improve dignity and accessibility for people with disabilities.
